differences between beta and main branch?

Hello, I've noticed that the beta has been updated 5 moths ago while the main branch has been 1.5 years ago, according to SteamDB. What are the differences between the 2, should I just switch to the beta? Thanks!

Saving game in multiplayer

We were playing LAN game, which do save automatically every turn. However we are not able to load game in multiplayer (no issue when loading on single-player). Saves seems to be non-existing, when host clicks "load" button when select map. (but they are somewhere, because we can see it when we go to menu -> delete save). Any idea how to fix this?...
