So if I understand well, you can now switch between PC and Steamdeck without any problem and with your progression carried on from one to the others?
(If you did not do any other try since then, remember to make a copy of your saves on PC in case it happens again!)
Hey! I've posted in a couple other threads on this topic, but it sounds like you're aware of this bug and working on it. Do you know any way to make a copy of saves on the Steam Deck? I use that as a primary console, and I'm afraid to keep playing the game on there after losing everything once already
Hello there!
Well before anything else, I'd advise to make a copy of your save files on your computer.
You can either go to C:\Users\UserName\AppData\LocalLow\Broken Spear Inc manually, or press Windows + R and paste : %APPDATA%/../LocalLow/Broken Spear Inc then press enter.
Then, copy your "beneath-oresa" folder and make a backup somewhere on your computer (just out of the "Broken Spear Inc" folder).
Now that this is done : there is no way (or at least I don't know any) to manually "import" save files like you would do between two computers. However, since I just tried it, Cloud saves should work. Now that you have your backup saves somewhere else on your computer, launch the game on PC. if everything's okay and you have your progress, then shut the game down. Be sure to wait until the Steam Cloud is up to date (seen to the right of the "Play" button) before launching the game on the Steamdeck.
Launch the game on the Steamdeck and check if your progress is here. If not, before quitting the game, go to the options (I think you can do that via the Steam button of the SD), navigate to the properties of Beneath Oresa in your library, and deactivate Steam Cloud. Doing this should prevent the empty save to get saved on Steam Cloud
That's the weirdest thing, I just did it and it worked fine. I'll make some more test to try and catch the situation where it does not download the saves on the Deck from the cloud
