Hopefully they plan to add it?
Now I see Redout 2 has no local multiplayer at all, which is shameful for me.
It is currently on a Humble Bundle, but I will continue playing Redout 1, I will see if they provide this feature in the future for Redout 2.
The answers:
"Probably not. No"
"I joined the project when most of the core game was already built, but I think that split screen was unfeasable for the number of devs on the team. It's not trivial, it requires structural decisions and performance considerations (which is a hot topic, considering that R2 launched on a lot of platforms)."
Don't shoot the messenger please. I'm just forwarding answers that they gave to this question.
