Good day. This game is abandoned in it's current state. VR is never coming due to the way the publisher handled this title.

Only Semi-true. Saber pulled 34BT onto other projects, but recently 34BT was moved from Saber's control to their parent company Embracer. Since then, the devs have become more active in the redout discord and have confirmed that the big QoL patch is back in development and being worked on again.

Thank you! It's on sale right now, but I'm waiting to see some form of QoL patch then will buy it this coming June Summer Sale. Crossing my fingers hoping for more tracks.

Their post is out-of-date. Said publisher they were talking about has been kicked to the curb and the developers now have the rights back and were able to finally push an update out that was being held back for ages.

Maybe VR support might be on the table now, but nothing's been confirmed about that.

You can use the mod Unreal Engine VR - UEVR to play this in VR, it actually works very well, in my opinion, it's better than the VR support that was included with the first game, because you can adjust the world scale, move the camera, and adjust many other settings. This mod works with almost every Unreal Engine 4 and 5 game out there, check it out.

I got the (base)game for free on EPIC and just now tried that UEVR... WOW!!!!! I'm impressed and I agree with what you said. Setup was also very easy. I'll be getting the full game next sales now for sure. Have to try other games! Thanks for letting me know about this!

Same, got this on epic. Praydog did an amazing job with this mod, I’ve been buying up unreal engine games ever since trying it out. It’s super convenient because it’s just an app that runs along side the games, so no need to move any files around or edit config files. Yea its great, spread the word around, hopefully it helps convince devs to add in native support.

As discussed above, do yourself a favor and use UEVR. I'm having so much fun, just like with the first one.
I need to advance more but I think this one is even superior gameplay wise.
