We're very happy to let you know that ATMOSFAR will release into Early Access on May 20th 2026! This means that you'll be able to explore the vast skies of Tycos in less than a month.

We are incredibly excited to see you all take on this sky high odyssey. An Early Access roadmap will come later on with details on all planned updates.

Weekly community competitions

Vagabonds!

We're happy to let you know that starting today, we will arrange weekly community competitions, where a handful of winners will win individual Steam Keys to use for ATMOSFAR once it enters Early Access.

Alongside this announcement, we'd also like to let you know that we will be taking the demo down from Steam this Thursday (April 30), which means you won't be able to play the demo after this date.

We would however, like to go out with a bang! Which is why our first ever community competition will be... Yup, you guessed it: A good ol' speedrun! Head on over to our Discord server[discord.gg] to participate in this competition!

Good luck out in the skies, and remember to keep the blue side up!

Dev update #4: The aftermath of the demo

For everyone who prefers watching a video to reading a blog post, we've now done a video where we cover the first part of yesterday's dev blog: Everything about the demo! Tune in to listen to our reflections, thoughts and lessons learned.

In the spirit of feedback and suggestions, we're also happy to announce that right now, we have a ongoing challenge on Discord! We would like to give you the opportunity to truly decorate and build your Cloud Cruisers to your very own liking, and so we're currently opening our suggestions inbox for ideas on posters and pictures to hang on the walls of your mobile homes!

The suggestions inbox will be open until Friday the 17th of April. The top suggestions will be iterated on and put in the game for all players to craft. Join our Discord server today[discord.gg] and make sure to read the regulations of the challenge. Hit us up with your best ideas!

Devs, please make sure your game is fun to play solo!

And I mean "fun", not "possible". There have been way too many games in recent years where in theory you can play it solo but players are HEAVILY incentivized to play in a group, because then they have to convince other people to buy the product.

Flight sux

Scrap gun that rearranges the molecular structure of objects and flight controls that would mystify Orville and Wilbur Wright in an era of fly-by-wire...can somebody get with the program? Shouldn't have to spend an hour+ trying to fly over to the the next rocky objective because the engine keeps cutting out or the landing gear deploys whenever it wants. Guess I'll never find out what's on those other floating isles, oh well, game started out enjoyable....

VirusTotal Flags on the Demo

Sadly there are Many of the .dll files in your demo that are flagged. False positive or not i do not know but suspect they are false, there are just too many for me to give this a try, removing the demo and forgoing the upcoming release. No thank you.

My feedback for the nice game

So, little context for my situation. Due to a disability my movement has to be done with the arrow keys, so when I go and adjust all of the controls to be conducive to this and join the game to find out that the arrow keys are permanently bound to looking around. which I never understand why this is a thing who uses these binds anyways? So, that was a bummer that I was forced to use a controller due to this. Also, not being able to bind to any key I want like 'end' and 'pg dn' kinda was annoying. Now with ...
