Looking to trade in MMBN3

I'm playing Blue version and I'm at the point where I can't progress until I get access to the four Mistman chips. I can trade a Bowlman set or a lot of other things you might need, or we could compare libraries.

Also, if any White version player would like to trade the Ground Style programs for a set of Shadow Style programs, that would be appreciated too!

At what point do you need the 4 Mistman chips to progress? Is this postgame stuff? Boy that's annoying since you can only get v4 chips if you're using team style, and you can only have a single style at a time. So you'd have to ditch custom style and the bonus stuff you get from that.

Yes, it's post-game after defeating both Serenade and BassGS; 85/85 Mega Library is required to get your 5th star, which is a prerequisite to unlock the Omega Navis.

I've made a thread in the Trading sub-forum which I hope can get pinned, as I have a 7-star Alpha Omega savefile that any player can Library Compare with to make every chip in the game buyable as and when they need it. This specific request (Mistman/Bowlman chips) is going to come up in *hundreds* of threads.

This is exactly why players should be allowed to compare libraries between their own Blue and White saves. If a person can't find anyone to trade/compare with, they'd still be able to progress the other game and still access the post-game content by comparing the work they put into both games.

(Should also be allowed to trade styles with themselves)

Who says someone is ungrateful? The multiplayer is a bonus for some and a major selling point for others, but not everyone has consistent enough internet to attempt several trades / battles to 100% games that are almost entirely single-player.

Having the online multi is nice (when it works, for some it doesn't), but future-proofing the game and allowing for players to solo the content by other means (even if it means more work on the players' part) would be still be a nice improvement. Trading libraries would still be the easier method to finishing post-game Net 3, but having the ability to play up both to complete both would allow everyone to be able to do it (again, given the applied effort).

EDIT: to clarify, this isn't a complaint about what's in the collection, just pointing out that the UI for the collection could have solved some old problems while they were making it.

Howdy amigo! Relatively new user to steam here, just trying to figure out a platform to help tie up my library on mmbn3 LC. Saw your message about being willing to help with comparing libraries. I never got Legacy Collection, I stick with my digitized originals (already had the full collection), but I've seen your two posts now and I thought MMBNLC didn't have cross-play, so I looked into it a bit.

*To connect with other players over the Internet on the Nintendo Switch™ version, you need a Nintendo Switch Online membership.
*To connect with other players over the internet and battle them on the PlayStation®4 version, you need a PlayStation®Plus membership (paid).
*This title does not support cross-saves or cross-play with other platforms.

You might consider trying other social media platforms (as distasteful as some of them might be) to see if anyone is willing to compare on Switch. It's still possible that someone on here also has the Switch version, but I'd think it less likely.

All good! I appreciate the follow up regardless. I’ll be honest, it’s been so long since Iv tried to connect with another gamer on these platforms (typically just irl friends and word of mouth) that I’ll probably have to make all new accounts lol. If anyone is out there in the wide world playing legacy in the switch and willing to compare, please let me know!
