Sega tried to age them a bit but that game was Sonic 2006 so...
I think the best job they did at trying to age them up is Sonic Boom but Tails is still small to fit the usual cast silhouette,
That doesn't mean anything, and I don't think they even attempt to age any characters there.
That's not the point, the contractor was complaining about the lack of credit.
It's not whether Sega owns the model or not, which they do because they ordered it.
Even if you own the design of a character, that doesn't give you the right to own (or seize) every custom model of your character. You only own the design, not the model.
The only character that acted their age was like Cream the Rabbit.
