This better have the original Sonic 3 & Knuckles music

I ain't buying this since it's too expensive, but I just want this legal crap with the music to be over. I know people can just mod the music in, I don't care. I can just play Sonic 3 AIR if I want the original music. I just want the beautiful original tracks to be included in all base releases. This probably won't happen though and they'll put the prototype music in.

Oh you haven't seen the DLC chart. Yes you can get the original music... In the deluxe edition for extra $. Because your nostalgia is their wallet to exploit.

I don't think that's the original music. That's just bonus music that you get on the gallery to listen. On the website, the music of Sonic Spinball is listed, so that's probably it.

I kind of hope they got rid of the MJ music. If they composed new music (or cleaned up the beta tracks), then Sonic 3 will see a lot more rereleases since they won't have to have a yelling match with the MJ estate over who owns what every time. Imo the only song that I liked enough to be bummed out that it'll be replaced, is Ice Cap.

The classic music pack doesn't contain Sonic 3 music, or anything to do with it. We know what it includes, it just adds music from 3d blast, spinball, and chaotix to the sound test.

Tbf, this is collection is getting a Mania styled treatment. Unless these get a completely new remake (like a 2.5D style remake), these will be the definitive versions of the games and they'll likely just port this collection to future consoles. But if this game is already getting re-released, then I don't think it's gonna be that difficult to re-release it again in the future.

I wasnt a fan of the midi music from the PC. FM synth is what I will remember forever. I did prefer Knuckles theme and the act1 boss theme from S3&K over the original Sonic 3 stuff.

TBH this is exactly what's preventing from purchasing this game. I love the PC midis, I do but I was hoping for the original tracks.

Best scenario is that the original Megadrive prototype AND the final version tracks are available and we can pick and choose. But doesn't seem there has been any confirmation of what's going to be the case and there doesn't seem to be any word on that, unless there hasn't been enough snoopingas usual, I see for someone to find out if there has been word.

It's been confirmed that it's RSDK v5U, an updated version of the RSDK that was used on Sonic Mania that is backwards compatible with the previous RSDK versions used on Sonic CD, 1 and 2, so all 4 games can be in the same collection.
