gonna go for a walk and stretch legs
not my legs though
Here I was wondering if swords or any bladed weapon would count, but apparently words have no meaning.
Yes it is? The knife is part of Grant's bonus. Some of the base-game stuff was added to Castlevania characters.
The Coat of Arms allows you to select several base game items, and the Malphas has a re-skinned knife-evo.
The VS 'Whip', is part of the Coat of arms, for some reason, too. Vento Sacro is not.
Not sure why the default Whip and Vento are MIA from Morning Star but... they are.
Because VS whips don't upgrade into a morningstar, but Castlevania whips do in their source games
There's a lot wrong with this.
Not only is the Vampire killer/ Whip of alchemy pretty much the -only- canonical whip outside of Portrait of Ruin and Circle of the moon (which isn't canon anyway), the weapons are made up as sources of references to other Castlevania games. Jet black, is as far as I know, the only whip that is actually referenced in another game.
It doesn't help that it wasn't until the later games where lore became important that the Vampire killer and Morning star were retconned into the same thing
I was planning on going into deeper semantics but, the "Morning star" item isn't even a tangible weapon. It's a, essentially, candybox for whip users. The Wind Whip is -already- a variant of the base game whips.
I don't see a reason why VS Whip and Vento couldn't be moved into that collection.
