Then you still need to head further Southwest. Don't just "follow" the gridlines, keep heading due Southwest, even after you pass what seems to be the map's edge.

I'm replaying this game on mobile just to test this. You can still trigger this as any characters including DLC and secret (Red Death for example).
It's a lousy feeling when you open that spellbook and type what is essentially a cheat code in, but hey...
MissingNo is an interesting character, for sure. You literally never know what you'll get with it...
Random is even better as its starting weapon also randomizes to every weapon you've already unlocked.
Reread the OP's starting post as he CAN'T trigger the Glitched area. And IF HE CAN'T trigger the Glitched area how can he kill the eyeball bats enemies as they only spawn in said Glitched area?
