Glimmer mechanic?

Anyone able to explain what the new glimmer mechanic does? Seems like a different way of leveling your weapons?

It's kinda like upgrading in a sense. Think of glimmer as randomly throwing out an upgrade once in a while.

Basically, if you have a weapon that can 'glimmer' equipped, each time the character attacks, there is a chance that it will do a special attack related to that weapon. The first time you do it, you can see the name of the attack showing on one side of the screen, with a star ranking from 1 to 3 depending on the move.

I wonder just how much more often that Final Emperor triggers techs learned by him.

But Bonnie and Formina gains might and duration respectively when using glimmered tech

Finally Kugutsu gains 1 revival and 5% growth when using new glimmered tech.
Unlike Bonnie and Formina above, Kugutsu have the 'new' clause, meaning he eventually will peak out in what he can aquire and looks heavilly dependent on Hail to the future.
