Found any good Castlevania weapon evos yet?
I generally go with highest damage, or sometimes high defense at least early on. After damage takes off defense doesn't really matter. So a lot of my builds incorporate Ophion, Seraphic Cry, Time Warp, Gorgeous Moon (for beginning defense and late game XP), Spellstrom, and defensive stuff like Paranormal Scan and heal/lives arcana.

Sanctuary can fully replace the Infinite Corridor in Death-killing power, and usually does more damage when I have both.

Troll Bomb is insane. Gorgeous Moon on steroids and then some.

Power of Sire is pretty crazy.

The aforementioned Sanctuary is very good.

Wrecking Ball is very strong in Divine Bloodline builds, especially if also paired with Iron Blue Will.

Dark Iron Shield is also quite good in Divine Bloodline builds.

Rapidus Fio gives you pretty wild map presence, especially useful on really large maps like Neo Galuga and Ode to CastleVania.

Nightmare is a good compliment to Twilight Requiem builds.

Sacred Beasts Tower Shield + Paranormal Scan gives you infinite invulnerability. You can literally tank Red Deaths forever if you want.

Pneuma Tempestas paired with Waltz of Pearls and/or Gemini can put up some serious numbers too.

EDIT: Can’t believe I forget Alucard Shield. Functionally gives you five extra weapon slots. Insanely powerful, as long as you don’t mind not seeing anything for the rest of the run.

Yes, Alucard shield is strong, but, it feels even worser than Power of Sire in not being able to see anything. Because of mass distraction.¨

I wish the werewolf skills was better, does so low damage.

Oppinion on the Clock skills?

Edit: Stamazza was bugfixed and works properly now. I think i have a new favorite weapon.

Edit2: Just finished a run with Stamazza. ....could the mechanics of it be interacting with Power of Sire? PoS did 121G of damage.

I don’t like Clock Tower. You have to get four different weapons all to level 9, which just feels like it takes too long. None of the five components of the complete weapon ever show as putting up very good numbers in post-game screen either. They all scale off of different items and stats, too, and none of them have special synergies with any Arcanas. I also dislike that Clock Tower is another weapon that makes it hard to see what’s happening.

I do like Stamazza though. Mace is a bit tricky in its early levels, but that evolution provides monstrous coverage and damage. I’d say it’s only drawback is that it primarily synergizes with a Slash build, and those aren’t particularly good at the moment. Still, it puts up good numbers on its own, and it does have bonus scaling with amount and luck for any characters who have boosts to those stats. It’s area of coverage also makes it a decent fit for Soul Eater builds.

EDIT: I also agree that I wish the werewolf weapons were better. They look so cool, and I love werewolves in general. But their damage output is never very good. Three of the four weapons even do fire damage, but they don’t benefit from Heart of Fire, and the other one does ice damage but doesn’t benefit from Jail of Crystals either. Like, what?

The werewolf skills is probably better when used in a divine bloodline build, over doing damage. Plus Blue Moon Cornell starts with +4 amount.

From Trinum Custodem
This weapon provides a flat +10 Armor, +2.0 Recovery, and -10% Cooldown along with also providing +10 Armor, +2.0 Recovery, and -10% Cooldown boost when the character is taking damage. This weapon can provide a total of +20 Armor, +4.0 Recovery, and -20% Cooldown while the player's character is getting hit.

"Good" is quite subjective.
A lot are gimmicky.
A lot don't scale well.
Some get weird when Limit Broken like Hydro Storm which starts having massive gaps in its coverage of the screen at huge Area values.
Sword Brothers at max cooldown makes you invincible (at least I let 4 Atlanteans wail on me til they died without taking damage) like Laurel.

I have no "builds", I simply enjoy Limit Breaking weapons with a Paranormal Scan for stats.

Sacred Beasts Tower Shield is my go to for just melting enemies, getting the Mad Groove in Castle is super useful to, it lets you create an uber strong build to venture into the castle with. I also like Thunderbolt Spear and Clock Tower.
It's funny to me that people want the Cerberus set to be better when it was hot garbage in its source game, and was used primarily to unlock one door. It sure couldn't throw fireballs, either.

Never played any of the Castlevania games.

But the werewolf skills makes you tanky as heck, and as I should note, performs retalitation damage. Which Divine Bloodline loves.

Just because it was bad in Order of Ecclesia doesn't mean it has to also be bad here.

Then again, I'm also confused why a character from Legacy of Darkness has a weapon from Order of Ecclesia. lol

Bent timeline. We get to see Lisa Tepes for the first time, whom isnt an illusion.
Technically, Vampire Survivors marks Lisa's first true appearance in a videogame, as her presence in Symphony of the Night was merely an illusion crafted by the Succubus.

Yeah anything that does retaliation damage as its go to is a great weapon so long as you have divine bloodline.

Regarding Mace and Slash, it doesnt appear to be affected.

Slash's crit damage bonus doesn't help Stamazza, but Slash also increases crit chance a bit. Luck also increases crit chance, so if you are running Slash, you are doing a luck build, so Stamazza still fits.

Is Cocytus any good? The evolved freezing weapons seem to be pretty good in general.
