Greater than imagined potential for Alucard's Shield?

I always thought there was a limit to how many evolved weapons it could gobble up, like 6 tops.

I just finished a game where I had 13 evolved weapons and greatest jubilee and used alucard's shield. All the evolved weapons was gobbled up. Leaving a row with alucards shield and great jubilee and 4 empty slots.

Weapons that cant evolve gets ignored by the shield. So youd want to avoid taking them till AFTER youve used the shield.

Furthermore, it then demonstrates that you dont want to evolve alucard's shield too early as it may hinder building a big lump of evolvable weapons. So I think it may be a good idea to save taking it for when a candybox pops.

Oh, well that actually makes things worse for the thing I was hoping to do. Obtain literally every weapon through Darkana shenanigans, then Alucard Shield them all away for full Silent Old Sanctuary benefits.

Doesn't matter, I still won't have literally every weapon.
