Multiplayer's already there, online's being worked on and is on the roadmap for this year

We're working on online co-op and there's hope we'll be able to launch it this year! For the meantime you can try unofficial methods like Parsec to play online with friends.

Remote play is here already, but it is strange. My friend can host and I can join with no issues, but if I host and he joins he has a big performance hit when we spawn into the world and it is not playable. So for whatever reason I can help him but he cannot help me.

If they ever do lobbies, I hope they let you configure what characters you don't want the other person to play. There are times I wouldn't want to play with Chaos, Sammy, or Queen Sigma.

Steam has a feature for doing this! No need for Parsec.

Not in my experience, guess that really depends on your internet speed. I can see how it wouldn't be great if you're still on 2mbps internet or somethin.

Some game have compatibility issues with it sadly. It's a solid feature to have but not always perfect.
