HELP with unplayable LAG by the endgame (down to 1 fps)

Is it because of my CPU? Ryzen 1700X

My Windows10 power scheme is "ultimate performance" and it's not helping... GPU lag fix is not helping... The performance is horrible.

By the minute 15 I will ussually already drop below 15 fps, and after 20+ I will get down to 5 or even lower.

1 second in the game can take up to 2 seconds IRL. Games take almost 1 hour to complete,

The funny thing is that it will something speed up back to normal for a few seconds, and then it will continue lagging in <5 fps for another half a minute. Sometimes it even helps if I alt tab, or switch to a different widow. It's so weird.

How do you guys cope with lag? What are your systems that run this game smoothly?

If your character gobbled hundreds or thousands of eggs, sadly that tends to happen later in the game.
Probably a good idea is trying to get weapons that doesn't make your computer bend to its knees.

That's even on characters with no eggs. I guess my cpu is just too weak. My friend on 3700X says he never had any lag at all.

Your CPU has little to do with it, the game engine is just wonky. Try turning off damage numbers, and see where that puts you

launch the game using gpu fix option that shows up when you click play... See if that helps?
