100k Syuuto
what are people doing for this? I've tried evolving his garbage weapon which just turns into bigger garbage, and I've tried utilizing four seasons evo for mass damage (fantastic weapon, probably my favorite). I stack up curse with both gold ring and metaglio. I end up having what, something like +250% or so? I can't stack up even close to enough enemies. My best so far is maybe 60k? I'm shooting to get the curse built after I get a first weapon evo, usually garlic just for safety because his start weapon is such hot trash. First card I take is the Silent Old Sanctuary for the giant buff. Nothing seems to do the trick though. It's like his weapon, when it gets so large, keeps enemies from spawning. I had 0 trouble breezing past 100k with Menya. Didn't even take 20 minutes. But Syuuto? holy cow, nothing works.

What have people tried that's worked?

I think I've only ever seen victory sword once since it came out....This process of restarting is gonna be about as fun as soft-resetting pokemon games lmao.
If you've already unlocked it, make sure to turn on endless mode. It's how I got my 100k kills on this guy (though not accidentally picking up the bubbles weapon when I ran into the merchant probably would have helped too).

Alternatively, get Heart of Fire and Waltz of Pearls and aquire Hellfire, that murders everything. Also, max out curse to be on the save side.

Gonna be completely honest, I'm amazed endless mode counts. Thanks for the tip. I just assumed it didn't.

I didn't know it was possible to get less than a 100k kills on any character in Inlaid Library. I just did it in under 16 minutes. Summon Night's evo just eats the whole ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ screen at this point.
Evolved Night Sword is also good, just make sure to up your health regen.

Yeah but Summon Night's damage is abysmal. May as well just do knockback. Every other weapon I take outperforms it by over 200%. It's ridiculously bad.

Sure, Inlaid Library is the easy out (and the one I took for the last two unlocks I needed) but there's something to be said about doing this stuff on the new map.

The joy of Inlaid is its quanity over quality. They die instantly to it anyway. Plus you do have other weapons anyway, any of the big AOE ones can carry you easily.

Thankfully I managed it just now without going to the library. But yeah, I never thought about it. The monsters at library are a fair bit weaker aren't they? Good to keep in mind for future updates!

It's not that they are weaker, it's that it has more easy waves with weaker monsters instead of waves with few but stronger monsters. On top of that, it has a lot of easy waves early on which powers you up to the point where the first hard wave with the headless warriors isn't as much of a problem as you just snowball faster.

Compare that to Mad Forest who spawns tough enemies quite early on which kills your XP gain. There your goal is to reach minute 11 and then vacuum up as meny skellies as possible.

Endless Mode is a really easy answer I didn't even think of.
I did the usual going ham with Wicked Season & maxed Torrona's Box, forgot if it was Capella or Library.

As for maps for kill quantity, I think Dairy Plant and Gallo Tower are the best for quantity, but both are tougher than Capella imo. If you can get strong enough for the 14min wave in Capella, it's usually a free win. Only the wave from 5-6min in Capella is bad, but the big thing is the floor items are good and easy to reach and you can evolve before 10min.
Mad Forest is absolutely the worst map possible to do such things on.

I just realized Endless Il Molise is a thing which exists. :3

Probably the big thing for kill quantity is avoiding Garlic. Reducing enemy knockback resistance makes some high Curse waves unkillable. They just get knocked away so far they despawn and are replaced by new ones with full HP, who get knocked away again...
Garlic is unironically too powerful. It also tends to delay your Arcana chests because the bosses who drop them have as much knockback resistance as a basketball.

Didn't even think about this. You're right. This explains why I wasn't able to kill some waves when using it.

Yeah, even without Garlic some weapons have so much Knockback power that waves like 28min in Capella just won't get you any kills. I've seen much Limit Breaking everything in the game to see what weapons can manage on their own.
Crimson Shroud, for example, has crazy knockback. Thunder Loop has a shocking (ha ha) amount too.

So it creates funny situations where you can kill Red Death in like 20 seconds flat... but you can't kill a single normal mob for an entire minute long wave.

When in doubt, just sit in the middle of a Limit Break La Borra or Santa Water. Limit Break Santa Water is honestly the most insane farm weapon.
