Coffin Tips

Does anyone have any tips for unlocking the coffin characters? I feel like either I can't make it to them, or I can and not defeat the enemies.

Generally speaking you should pick a naturally fast character or wings to travel the distance faster and take a weapon with you that deals high single target damage. My personal favourite in that department is thousand edge. Prettty much everything dies after a minute of continued focus fire.
Also generally speaking. If you can't progress. Try to farm some gold for upgrades and look what other achievements you can do to unlock more stuff.

Don't try and run for them right away - spend the first 10-15 mins farming and building out your core build - then make your way there.
