Holy Forbidden Question

So I got to the Holy Forbidden stage a few times and ended up dying. I thought after doing some research that you should be able to JUST replay the Holy Forbidden stage without having to go through all of Moonglow each time, but the Holy Forbidden stage does not show up on my stage select. Can someone confirm if my game is glitched or if we actually are supposed to go through Moonglow each time to get to the forbidden holy?

You need to have a normal character selected to run it.

Normal characters are the ones BEFORE ExDash and the Secret Characters are ExDash and everyone else AFTER him.
