LOL garlic is useless

i tried the char with the holy water
i picked up the green crystal
got garlick

my garlic killed everything including 2 bosses
one golden chest with +4 garlic
i killed some more bosses and made it to lvl 8 garlic at 15 min still only lvl 2

the game is still not over
i just want to say it

garlic is not useless

Garlic is so OP for wave control. It's a godsend in the early levels and stays strong all the way through.

No, Garlic is not useless. It's one of the best early game carries, but people say it's useless because after 10 minutes, it is outclassed by almost every other weapon in the game.
King Bible is the same, except it lasts 15 minutes.

what all shortsighted ppl forget is garlics incredible CC support with reduced knockback and freeze resistances. what comes in very handy at endboss

p,s you can win a lvl with (evolvled) bible alone

Bible with LA Borra basically makes an impenetrable wall that lasts until 30 mins. Garlic doesn't even matter compared to that combo.

Well, yes, but JUST La Borra does the same. Bible doesn't even matter compared to it.

If you have Vandalier, Bible won't even get to hit the enemies anymore either.

Garlic is alright- and the evolution of garlic is too. Sure, there are better options, but if you just pick the best everytime, aren't you just playing the same thing every time?

Garlic can be really fun, and Soul Eater is nice if you actually take the time to stack it up. That means not choosing those easy, afk-and-not-actually-do-anything builds. Go evolved whip, evolved garlic, evolved cross and play chicken with your life bar until garlic is 1-shotting most things. If you do this on Antonio and add spinach, garlic easily ticks away at 120 dmg.

EDIT: Don't forget clover. Both Evolved Whip and Holy Sword benefit from high luck.

depending on map. the library is easy, but the field ones have the damn green guys. they have such higher hp than the things before and even after that they easily stack up on me every time. without garlic i can never get a weapon that hits them enough to actually take them down and i end up swarmed by everything. also on that map the bat swarms are a pain with them pushing enemies into you. garlic from level 2 on basically negates them by killing them as soon as they enter its aura. add the area bonus item and it grows insanely large.

Garlic is very average but it makes anything after 20 mins harder than it needed to be. I never take it any more and I finish runs 95% of the time now.

That's my issue with Garlic: it is extremely OP powerful while the game is still easy (pre 20). i.e. when you do not need it to be OP. After that, it's just meh.
