Gemini bug with Phieraggi?

Gemini was working properly before upgrade the guns into Phieraggi, which doubled the projectiles(8 lines).
But the Gemini Arcana stopped functioning after the Phieraggi upgrade. (The number of projectiles declined back to 4 lines)
However, other weapons such as Vandalier(birds) still working after upgrade, which includes 3 birds in total.

So is that a bug?

It's a bug. I just played with phieraggi with gemini and had 8 beams of light going around.

Not a bug, it duplicates the guns not the evolved weapon. Same goes with birds and cats.

Gemini, the arcana is supposed to duplicate the Phieraggi. So there should be 8 beams of light going around instead of 4.

Edit: as for the birds, there should be 2 birds once upgraded into the Vandalier. 4 circles going around you.

This is my experience as well. Pretty sure it even shows just the base weapons, not the evolutions, on the Arcana. You can increase the number of beams of light with Amount, so my guess would be you had extra Amount when you first tested it, and assumed the Arcana did it instead.

Phieraggi's Beams ARE INCREASED with how many Revives you have And IF you still have Tiragisu on your Passive Items list AND NOT with Amount. You can expend Tiragisu once the guns evolve into Phieraggi and you can see its effect on your beams.

Gemini doesn't duplicate Phieraggi, it only duplicates the 2 separate guns. If you evolve the guns into Phieraggi BEFORE you get the Gemini Arcana, it gives you the duplicates of the red and blue guns (Red Muscle and Twice upon a Time), not more beams for Phieraggi.
The only thing that gives Phieraggi more beams are additional revives, amount, and Limit Break.

Try taking and evolving the guns with Mortaccio or Cavallo, their character bonus is +1 amount every 20 levels to a maximum of +3. You should notice that you have MORE beams than if you use someone like Pugnala.
Phieraggi gains Damage and additional beams based on the number of revives that you have, Amount adds more beams, but doesn't add more damage like revives do.

Not sure about the cats, I rarely use it.
But I'm sure the EVOLVED weapons like Phieraggi and Vandalier are on the list of Gemini Arcana description. Moreover, Vandalier are tripled after the Gemini upgrade, but Phieraggi seems remained the same.

Thought I still think that it's not working properly.
Coz before the upgrade the guns will be doubled to 8 lines of projectiles by Gemini Arcana. After you evolved them into Phieraggi, beside the beams you will get only 4 lines of projectiles (with Gemini Arcana ofc).

It sounds like you are not considering the fact that you lose the base weapons, Phiera der Tuphello and Eight the Sparrow, when you evolve them into Phieraggi.

The reason why you have 8 lines of red and blue projectiles BEFORE you evolve the weapons, is that you have 4 weapons (assuming that you already have the Gemini Arcana), Phiera der Tuphello (red gun), Eight the Sparrow (blue gun), Red muscle (Gemini weapon), and Twice upon a Time (Gemini weapon).
After you evolve/union the red and blue gun, you have Phieraggi, Red Muscle, and Twice upon a Time.

Ahh make sense. I think ur right that I'll lose the original red and blue guns after the upgrade. The remained 4 beans were the Gemini doubled.

It is used to double both the base and the evolved there were 3 more items in collections the dupes of the 3 evoloutions fairly sure they were removed because the evoloutins for the dupes were buggy so some times you would take it and not get any thing. But they never updated the arcana graphics for some reason several tool tips are incorrect or straight up missing information either because of balance fixes or just a lack of space like the tree peppino says it starts with a reduced area but it doesn't it has severely reduced movement cause tree and slightly larger aoe
