secrets menu vs achievements

Just asking before I use the secrets menu:

would it disable the achievements connected to the character? Or would I also get the achievements when typing in the secret code?

No disable. Did it once for one of the ghosts. Never lost the achievements. And I have the full set of achs.

And you will get achivements too. As they otherwise would be impossible to do.

But I implore you, dont go overboard with it.

The characters on the Secrets menu do not have achievements associated with them, so unlocking them with the codes should be safe to do (and is required for at least one anyhow).
Do not unlock characters that are listed under Unlocks using cheat codes however, those will not pop the achievements any longer even if you do the requirements the proper way afterwards. If you do, say, unlock Queen Sigma using a cheat code, you'd need to start fresh on a new save to unlock the achievement.

thanks for the answer! Got most champions anyhow, just missing some of the secret ones and got queen Sigma yesterday.
