Is mad forest supposed to be unbeatable compared to library?

Seems like at some point it just sends waves of super tanky wolves, green zombies, and vampire bats at you. I haven't been able to find a build strong enough by the 13-15 minute mark to chew through these overtuned mobs..

It's definitely harder because there's more room for enemies to gang up on you and harder waves, but it's still doable and far from unbeatable.

As you purchase power ups it gets easier, the real challenge is beating without power ups.

Power ups make the runs more consistent on winning.

All characters can beat the map without power ups but it is a lot harder. You need to plan a bit more, get your evolve timing in and accept that you may need to dodge like mad for a few waves. Some characters are definitely easier due to their innate passives like Antonio or Mortaccio.

get duplicator king bible and spellbinder, then whip hollow heart, dont take too many things at the start focus on 2/3 abilities for offence and defense until later. just be smart and pay attention after that and youll be able to get to the end.

It´s very frustrating when you are in a good run and half way through the game starts giving you crappy options for upgrade when you level up, at least the chests follow the upgrades you chosen.

evolved bible,evolved fire wand,evolved cross,evolved axe,magic wand max level,and max level santa water. for the other stuff candlabrador,clover,spellbinder,spinich,duplicator,and attractorb. This gets me to 30 minutes

You unlocked Mortaccio yet? Try a run with him, his scaling is bonkers. I win most consistently with him, and winning is good for uhhhh learning how to win lol. There is a point where it just clicks.

Hot tip is king bible becomes one of the best weapons in the game - it synergises with literally every weapon buffing passive, where most other weapons will ignore one or two (effect duration and projectile speed do nothing on a whip, for example.)

If you play with power-ups it should be doable. I am currently win-streaking on Hyper Forest with random characters each run an I am at 15 wins in a row, so you can even do it consistently with power-ups.

Runetracer and Garlic are S-tier picks. Garlic lv 2 allows insta-kills on bats, gettin' it early to lvl 5 means you one-shot zombies, skellies and all the weak monsters.
That allows you to score 2-3k kills in the min. 11 wave. That's the most important wave. You want to earn like 10 levels in this wave.

Try to only pick up 3, at max 4 weapons in the first 10 minutes. Try to evolve 1 weapon with the 10min mantis chest. Preferably Garlic, Axes, Bible.

For Passives always pick up AoE, Dmg and CDR, the rest kinda depends on the build. Spinach & Tome can also be picked up early.

In general learn how fast you can kill early enemies and always move towards them to maximize the amount you kill and xp you pick up. That should allow you to say at Lv = 2-3x minutes. Also pick up all the chest until minute 10, bc they can't evolve your weapons anyway.

Magic Wand or Knives are also very good early weapons to pull ahead in Xp.

I think they tweaked something in this last update because the game seems to have gotten extremely unfair compared to earlier. You waste a lot of level ups in stuff you don´t want or don´t add to what you already have, and it seems that even the chests are giving crap now.

Also, I used to get way more triple and penta chests, now it´s a rare event, even with luck leveled up.

This last run in mad forest, at 14min mark I already had rune tracer level 8, then cross level 8, had bracer, candelabra, spellbinder, and the game refused to evolve the items, chests would give me crap, I leveled up at least six times and no offer to evolve the rune tracer nor the cross. Of course I died quickly after that.

Runetracer can't be evolved and Cross needs Clover to evolve. Bracer is for Knives and Spellbinder for the Bible.
