arcane thoughts ?
i think arcane isnt that gamechanging despite dev intended. most of it minor bonus". except awakening

Some of them are clearly better than others. For example the ones that shift some stat between -50% and +200% don't seem at all appealing when compared with the ones that have only positives and no negative effects.

The crit one has made Knife a viable weapon. It used to be one of my least favorite ones, but now with the crit bonus the Knife is very valid in cutting a path through enemies even during that busy last minute.

Whip benefits from two cards, so that has also increased in value in my internal calculations.

The speed change one makes projectiles with infinite pierce (Scythes, minecarts, fireballs -to some extent) capable of staying on your screen for drastically far longer.
Kind of beats a good chunk of your projectiles disappearing nearly instantly.

I don't think the arcana were even intended to become god mode for any weapon or character. They do enhance some of the weaker weapons though.

Personally, I like the Slash Arcane, the weapons it enhances can do some respectable damage, even the knives can hit 4m damage.

I think they are game changing. It's free power and they can enable some builds that weren't great before or at the very least pair with some specific niche items and characters for some fun.

At -50 it benefits Scythes, at +200 it benefits bouncy projectiles, especially the evolved runetracer and enables cross/sword to reach any side of the screen while moving forward. Overall I love the effect.

stats shifting will be powerful if they are not -50%

late game its pointless. as your weapon go out of screen anyway. when you aleady that late you may evo ur fireballs. and scythes already last long

I might be wrong, of course, but I think with how enemy generation works scythes taking longer to disappear when near the edge of the screen will rack up more kills.

The one that adds explosion to fire wand is bonkers. Its competes with double bird in terms of dps, at least in my usual setups.

Love em, just hope they buff the healing damage one. Fells like it could be really good with more love. Also whished it showed arcanas damage at the end screen

Awake is OP as heck, whether you use it for the extra revives, the stat buffs, or to make the guns super OP. I like the double healing effect + damage to enemies one too. Nothing game changing, but nice to have. The explosion or crit ones are nice buffs for the associated weapons. I don't really see much use in the ones with negative effects.
