That seems to defeat the whole purpose of gaming itself , If you like the game would you skip parts just because they don't give an achievement ?
I'm the opposite I guess , I wish we had more content even if it doesn't have achievements , I just want more game to play because it is good.
Well to answer your question (sorry for the rant) there are some powerful characters or weapons in the other DLC but unlocking them would probably take more time than it was worth if all you care about are achievements , if you like the game and want more to play then the operation guns DLC is very fun , I'm not a fan of amongus but that DLC has a few strong weapons and added some cool ideas to the game.
Based. I love achievements personally, but if they take away my enjoyment of the game then what is the point? If the game is good I will play it regardless. They should only serve to enhance the game in my opinion.
Absolutely. While I think Vampire Survivors does a near-perfect job with them, there are so many terrible examples. Ones that monopolize your time and engagement are the worst.
So for me, yeah, if the developer doesn't do achievements, I generally won't go for it. There are, what, 10,000 games these days ? Anyone got a number on Steam ? Lemme go check....JEBUS...if Statista[www.statista.com] is even remotely close, there are nearly 70,000 games on Steam !? Yup, SteamDB[steamdb.info] seems to back up those numbers...My point is there are no shortage of games. So, I have no problem not buying a game that doesn't have achievements without FOMO (Ubisoft...I'm looking you square in the eye). Who loses ? Well, I suppose to you, it's you, but to me it's the company. They need my money, I don't need their game. If they're not going to bother with something as relatively simple and ubiquitous these days as achievements, frankly I see that as a middle finger to me, the customer.
I'm not looking to change your mind on cheevo's, but I hope you at least understand why they can be such an important aspect for some people. My father who's in his late 60's couldn't care less....though, he's pretty happy about his 100% No Man's Sky, so, who knows, maybe he's coming around. lol
