all the guides I see online say I should be getting Prismatic Missile drops during this fight, but I'm not and I'm kiting her with just a wand and I think this will never work this way?

if you pick up prismatic missile at any point in that run it wont drop later. just dont pick it up till jeneviv fight drops it for you

It's a very cool fight but that one part is a little janky.

Also whatever you do , turn off your Curse powerup on main menu and do not pick up the Skull O'Maniac , gold ring or metaglio Right , Je-Ne-Viv already has insane HP , you don't want to be boosting it and you will lose the Infinite Corridor and Crimson Shroud anyways.

I would suggest dying and trying it again without picking up the prismatic missile , also leave as much EXP on the ground as you can , it will be helpful during the boss fight and going into the boss fight at a lower level means it will have less HP.

It IS possible to win even if you screw up and picked up the prismatic early but it will take a long time and a lot of kiting because Luminare never shows up to help.

Honestly I just sat in a corner afk for 20 minutes clicking revive every so often while reading manga and just whipped it to death... Honestly not ~really~ sure why this worked, no eggs so it's not like I had thousands of revives, but somehow I just never ran out of revives no matter how many times I died so it just eventually died. Definitely the worst designed part of this game, tbh. Though the fact that it's one of only a couple of things I could possibly single out as being badly designed really speaks a lot for how good this game actually is. And nearly every other negative point has to do directly with endgame broken nonsense...

I also picked up the prismatic missile and broke it, after realizing the wand and a laurel was going to take wayyy too long, I quit to restart but at least got Genevieve Gruyère unlocked for breaking the crystal 🤷‍♀️
