Issue with the Keremet spell and character of the same name.
The Keremet character start with the Evolved version of the Keremet spell. But they do not get the basic bubbleversion of the Keremet spell.

If another character gets the basic Keremet spell and Evolves it, they have both the basic bubble effect and the green wraiths from the evolved spell.

So either the Keremet character is missing the basic version of the spell, or the basic version of the spell is not supposed to be retained after you evolve.

I think all characters whose main weapon is an evolved book from the DLC have this issue.
I believe it's a known bug.

It's not a bug. If you check the post-game stats, the spellbooks are special. When you evolve them, the unevolved version of the book becomes a hidden weapon. So the evolved versions of the spellbooks only have the new attack attached to them. It seems to be an intended feature.

Do re-read my original post.
If another character gets the basic Keremet spell and Evolves it, they have both the basic bubble effect and the green wraiths from the evolved spell.

I tested with multiple other character. Beginning with the unevolved Keremet spellbook and evolving it, they had both the bubble effect and the wraith effect visible on screen.

Edit: Keremet with only the evolved spellbook does NOT have the bubbles.

Reread what I said. When you evolve a spellbook weapon, the unevolved version becomes a hidden weapon. This can be confirmed by checking the post-game damage list. So the unevolved weapon and the evolved weapon for spellbooks are separated. This means that characters who start with evolved spellbooks do not get the unevolved weapon. This is universally true for all of them. Dario, Stella, Loretta, Keremet, Succubus, Galamoth, and Malphas. They clearly had to program the game to do this on purpose, and as such it must be intentional.

Then explain why Keremet does not get the bubble weapon and the wraith spell running.

Any other evolving the basic spellbook and gets BOTH bubbles and wraiths active.

Edit: Took some screenshots as you didnt seem to understand what I am saying.

Because he doesn’t evolve it. He just starts with the evolved version. Which uniquely for spellbooks, is a completely different weapon. If you haven’t tried them yet, all of the other characters who start with evolved spellbooks are like this, too. Go play a run as Dario or Galamoth and you will see they work this way as well. Since this took extra programming in the part of the devs, as no other weapons in the game work this way, it has to have been done on purpose, too.

Nonsense, its clearly a bug, clearly makes the characters already with an evolved version for much weaker.

It clearly took extra effort on the developers’ part to make these weapons behave this way, as no other weapons in the game work like this. That means it’s got to be intentional. Characters in this game aren’t balanced anyway. Some are very obviously far stronger than others.

Also, I just saw your edit with the addition of screenshots. I don’t know why you think I don't understand what you’re saying. I do. I know that Keremet doesn’t shoot the bubbles and only summons the little wormy things. I’m telling you that every character who starts with an evolved spellbook weapon only has the evolution’s effect. Dario only summons the fire dragon, he never makes the flame puddles. Galamoth and Malphas only summon the homing electric orbs, they don’t shoot the streams of lightning. Stella only makes the vertical tornadoes, she doesn’t fire the wind bird projectiles. Loretta only shoots the snowflakes, she doesn’t make the ice teeth. Succubus only fires the curse orbs, she doesn’t summon the spitting skulls. If you check the post-game damage list for a run where you did evolve a spellbook, you will see that the basic spellbook is listed on the damage chart as a hidden weapon. Similarly, if you choose an evolved spellbook from a Super Candybox II Turbo, you don’t get the basic spellbook’s effect either.

All of this information put together tells that this is an intended feature. They meant to work this way.
