Unfortunately you have to do guesswork to finally reach the gold amount to purchase Chaos, gold count isn't limited to 9,999,999 during gameplay strangely enough, maybe look up a guide on how to setup a quick moneymaking strat to reach that amount of gold

If you have Tides of Foscari DLC Sammy the Caterpillar can tackle your gold problem several minutes into the run, just pray your computer could handle his overwhelming power lol

You've refunded chars and bought him first? That also saves some cash I think.

Each tim you buy a character the price to purchase the next one goes up. But the more insane heroes also have a higher base price.

So if you purchase the cheaper heroes first the price of the higher costing heroes goes up insanely fast.

Once you have enough gold. reset the hero list and buy the expensiver ones first and go back down the list from most expensive to the cheaper ones. It will save you some money..!

Or just go farm gold and play the game more :)
Visual cap is at 9.999.999 but the value still goes up in the background, it's just not visualized anymore.
