New player and I was having a great run and a boss appeared only I didn't notice as I was traversing up the map slicing through everything and I pushed into the boss not recognizing the "danger". Unfortunately run ended within seconds. Would be great to an indicator whether sound of visual to make the played a boss is on the screen.

The indicator is usually the boss being bigger than other oponents or sometimes having the bright blue outline and more often than not you've a boss sprite that isn't occouring in the current waves normal enemies, thus sticking out quite a lot. Also new waves and therefore bosses spawn at the 00 seconds mark, so if you see the minute flipping, that's where you need to pay more attention.

Additionally, if you ignore a boss and run away from it, it will not despawn, but reappear on another side of the screen again, usually in the direction you're running towards, so unless you've the survivability to stand in a boss for a few seconds or having the knockback to push them away, rather take it slower, especially as a newer player.

And lastly, you can also raise your revives by ones from the power up and the arcanas offer a card for additional 3 revives. If you run in this problem a lot, consider getting these.

Sure, but you'll probably get used to the bosses real fast. Like, what you're asking for makes sense for newer players but I don't think that it's crucial; the bosses clearly stand out.

(And here's a tip: if you see a silver ring, a gold ring, a red arrow pointing right or a red arrow pointing left, they are passives that you can add to your build, but when you get close to these items, a boss will spawn and THESE bosses kill you in like... 0.5 second if you "hug" them. My guess is that maybe one of these bosses killed you real fast? You don't even have to pick up the items to spawn the bosses; they WILL spawn if you get "too close" to the items... Be careful!)
