How to unlock Hammer ?

How did you unlock Hammer? I did a run with only evolved weapons that are listed in the coat of arms but it doesn't unlock, whether it's runs with only weapons from the DLC or not.

• "Survive" means to last the full 30 minutes.
  
• "Fully armed coat" means 6 evolved Coat of Arms weapons.

In addition, you did mention both only using weapons from the DLC and not but allude to doing a single run. Using only weapons from the DLC does work, so make certain that you tried this. However, I cannot confirm if this matters or not.

I did a total of ten runs to unlock Hammer (all finished) with only weapons from the coat of arms but no matter what I try, whether it's runs with only weapons from the dlc, or runs with weapons from the base game and the dlc, it doesn't work, I must be doing it wrong but I haven't found why yet :/

Compared to what you said, surviving 30 minutes is not a problem, the same for the 6 evolved Coat of Arms weapons but it doesn't work :/

my run was with Johnathan starting with the coat of arms item and grabbing something along the lines of curved knife, shuriken, javelin, iron ball, discus, revolver, and or hand grenade. i avoided the wine glass. i evolved all 6 and ran out the time and died, that should do it.

it's good, I'm pretty sure I already tested with this configuration but now it's unlocked and I'm happy

Having similar issues done it multiple times with no luck. I guess Deaths scythe doesn't count or something? Also got a super candybox, chose an appropriate weapon, but maybe it wasn't good enough.

Possibly there's a bug, or, like Dario, using certain arcana may invalidate it. For example: Heart of Fire is not in the coat of arms. With Dario specifically, even Gemini breaks it because the speculo book counts as a separate weapon. Maybe that's what's messing with peoples unlocks? Not sure. Curious to know people's arcana choices though.

Iron blue will, slash, then usually like the one that makes them double fire, or wicked season. I was wary of arcana like Gemini.

All good! I might have read into the grammar too much. Nonetheless, if you have done both of those requirements, I unfortunately do not have another solution, as what you are doing is correct.

If it ends up being more frustrating than it is worth, you can always use the code in the secret menu. Dario would not unlock for me no matter what I did, so I unlocked him with this method. It still seems earned to me if you are following the right steps and it is just a matter of it being bugged. Good luck!

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I've done multiple runs on this, running up to 30 mins (sometimes going past with Endless, sometimes making sure to have that off and dying to Death at that point), ending with 6 evolved weapons from the Coat Of Arms (sometimes more, sometimes exactly 6, sometimes with only weapons from the Coat of Arms and sometimes not), and no dice. All my runs have been with Ode to Castlevania DLC characters.

I have tried this with just Coat of Arms weapons from the DLC, but given OP says they tried that and still didn't get the unlock, that may not be a factor. (Can anyone confirm if they unlocked Hammer with some of those 6 weapons being none-DLC weapons?)

One thing I haven't tried yet, and I haven't noticed anyone discuss this one way or the other, is doing this specifically on the Ode to Castlevania map. Maybe people are just doing this by default because, hey, that's the new map, but I have unlocked other characters from the new DLC on other maps, so...

So; anyone here know they unlocked it on another map? If they did, great, we can discount that as a factor. If not, that might be the issue.

Thanks for the code! I'm hoping I can be a guinea pig for testing the exact requirements, but I may well make use of this if nothing comes up.

The unlock requirement is specifically to have the evolved versions of Coat Of Arms weapons. (Unless you're concerned that the issue is that you need to evolve them in the run, rather than jumping straight to evolved version via Super Candybox or something. In that case, fair question but, at least with my attempts, I've always evolved them in the run, so that's not it.)

Anyway - I got the unlock. Changes I made were to do the run on the Ode to Castlevania map and to only use Coat Of Arms weapons from the DLC (so no Knife, Whip, Santa Water, Lightning Ring etc). Given OP has tested with/without only COA weapons already and didn't get the unlock, my guess is the missing requirement is that you have to do this on Ode To Castlevania, not another map.

For me, I stalled on getting the CoA weapons that were on the map in favour of the ones that aren't, just to make damn sure I had enough. I took Revolver, Ball, Grenade, Javelin, and Glass, then picked up Curved Knife, Shuriken, and Discus. Arma Dio helped fill out the passives I couldn't take. I also didn't take any non-COA weapons.
