Infact playing Charlotte right now on first attempt
https://imgur.com/a/9pmAnh7
The crucial thing is the top 2 darkanas - Moonlight Bolero and Crystal Cries and getting Glass Fandago asap. Once you got the health rolling up, continue with improving your spells.
Edit: Finished the run, pretty strong spellcaster if you get her setup to survive.
In what fashion?
Crystal Cries gives health, growth and regen when you kill frozen targets.
So your explanation isn't really how to play Charlotte, it's how to stack health.
if you cant figure out how to make an arcana that kills anything that runs into you while sending your hp to the moon, i dont think im equipped to help you.
Given you can ignore her core mechanic with no issue, you play her like everyone else. Just head north on spawning in to get the rock book and that'll help a lot with crowd control. Fire book at high levels lasts longer than its own cast time so you can sit in it and be safe.
at some point you unlock the Belnades Spell Tome(a candy box for just the spells) and you can switch her to it on the character select screen. her starting weapon is HORRIBLE for surviving.
you either need to rush some of the other bosses for their spellbooks or pick the frost or wind book at the start of the level(belnades tome)
Embrace that she's a book-centered character.
