Secret area in Ode to Castlevania

When you collect Metaglio Left off the map there is a trail that leads you into the woods. As you follow the trail eventually you’ll reach a small chapel like area. The moment you enter you’ll see a corridor that leads to a place that seemingly looks like Dracula’s castle, however there is an invisible barrier that blocks you off. Anyone know how to access it?

there's also a door in the castle that doesn't unlock after getting all the gate keys, its possible these are things that are only accessible in the inverse mode.

Considering Castlevania and its history of upside down/alternate castles, that wouldn't surprise me in the least.

doesn't seem like it, I tried endless, inverse, hurry, and hyper. None worked, the invisible barrier still exists. At the other side of the door there is the word VS written between two statues though, I wonder what that could mean.

VS probably just means Vampire Survivors, several arches in the castle between areas have VS written on them.

I suspect that Richtor or Alucard's unlocks are the key to those, but I'm just speculating.

Haven't tried it, but I assume the door off to the side requires the two rings, like it did in Symphony of the Night

Great Idea but sadly doesn't work, neither do the metaglio. Perhaps you need evolved Laurel and Lancet but not trying this myself for now...
My guess it's something to do with the Richter throne thingy but I've not ♥♥♥♥♥♥ him yet.

In sotn these corridors had CD engraved on the stone in the middle, because they were masking loading times with them. Vampire Survivors just turned it into VS as a funny reference.

Oh they do NOT want you in that locked room in the castle. I went as Ghost Lino to clip through the wall... IT DIDN'T WORK. Characters that bypass walls can't even get in!

Update: Same with the chapel outside.

First; thank you.

Second, the upper room which looks to be SotN's first boss arena is still locked despite seeing an icon. There's something to do after Richter's 'thing' it seems.

There are multiple layers of secrets to unlock, my best advice is to check the map often for bosses that weren't there before, or new areas out of nowhere.
