Is there a way to speed time up when you already have maxed out your items?

I tend to max out my items around 21-22 minutes, but then I feel like I just have to go AFK for the rest of the time since I already got all the items, and I can easily survive standing still.

There is still the occasional chest to get every few minutes from the bosses, but other than that there's literally no game to play. Is there a way to 'skip' minutes?

How you unlocked and tried Hurry mode? It makes the game run at double speed.

It only makes the timer run at double speed, actual gameplay is unaffected.

All you can do beyond that is find a nice spot to mark and let time take its natural flow.

Right, I was mixing up Hyper mode.
