I'm sorry if this is redundant. I am trying to complete the moongolow map. I have searched high and low. When I get to the end of the battle, a reaper just comes and wrecks me. I can't get away from him, he just murders me multiple times. I revive and he just kills me again. I'm trying to unlock the yellow sign on the next map. Nothing I have found online has told me about this reaper that just keeps raping me, I don't even get a chance to kill the other boss types that show up near the same time. Should I turn off hurry? Crap!

The Red Reaper showing up and killing you means that the map is over and you "beat" it.

However the Yellow Sign unlock would teleport you away before the time runs out and the Red Reaper shows up, so something's going wrong...

You need to play as a basic character, which is like the first 8-10 characters I think. No secret, DLC and overpowered characters.

I remember doing it with Porta Ladonna since her initial extra cool-down reduction helps a hell lot in the Special stage

Yes, you only advance if not playing a secret character.

I got it done with Antonio, although was harassed at the end by the red reaper, I still got teleported and he didn't kill me. I got the yellow sign after that in one try. My first attempts were with Krochi and Pasqualina. I suppose I stepped away from the game long enough ago to not know who the base characters are. Thanks for the help.
