I get it.
Everyone wants their favorite game to get a crossover with their other favorite game but I think we need to be realistic and think about what would actually make a good crossover.
Just because both games are visually compatible isn't a good reason to cross them.
Blasphemous is a bit more serious with it's setting as well , the overly religious themes work because of the world it's set in but would be out of place in Vampire Survivors.
But besides that think from the developers prospective, what would you bring from Blasphemous to Vampire Survivors that would be beneficial for both games ?
The game being crossed over wants to have itself advertised in a good light, and the game it crosses into wants new content that fits in and players will enjoy.
There's only one weapon you could bring to vampire survivors , Mea Culpa , maybe if you count Prayers you could have a few more , a few of the bosses like Amanecidas might work visually but they don't really fit in mechanically.
Vampire Survivors doesn't really have quick movement dodging so all those awesome Blasphemous fights would just turn into an enemy who tries to bump into you while shooting out lasers that you slowly circle to avoid.
As a Blasphemous fan it would feel bad seeing the bosses nerfed like that and as a Vampire Survivors fan it feels bad seeing everyone hoping for more crossover stuff rather than hoping to see vampire survivors itself get more original content.
Oh sure I also want more original content before more cross marketing stuff, but some games actually fit this cross marketing, Blasphemous being my top choice for now. I get you and I feel you. But we can live in a world where we get both.
How about... Assassin's Creed Collab. Brawhalla did it already.
Same!
I don't know if they can get triple AAA publishers to listen, but if they can go ahead. A Resident Evil DLC could be fun
