Too Easy vs Too Hard

I've hit a point where if I turn on Charm or Curse, or invert the stage, it's too hard and I always lose, but if I turn off Charm and Curse, and don't invert the stage, it's too easy and I always win.

How do I compromise these two extremes? How can I make it harder and still win?

Sounds to me that you should start playing with the Divine Bloodline arcana and finding one of the weapons that allows retribution damage like Legionaire. With a retribution damage focused build, its easy to get way over 20.000 life.

Also look at more powerful characters.

Ive completed all stages at max curse possible curse with them + inverted. And no eggs used at all.

Special notice for Colonel Bahamut, give him the Divine Bloodline and Wicked Season arcanas and he will clean house. He scales with greed AND curse.

Charm and curse should always be on , more enemies means more exp , faster levels and more power.

Especially charm since it doesn't increase enemy strength , only number and you should be killing enemies fast enough that the number doesn't matter at all only their max HP , so if you are having trouble with those two turned on you need to figure that out , do you not have all your other upgrades maxed ?

The order you purchase your upgrades in does matter , you should take the most expensive ones first

this guide is outdated but as long as you take them in the same price order (things that cost 10,000 first , then 5000 etc etc) it should work fine. Refund your upgrades and purchase them again that order and you should have more money than you started with , if you don't have everything unlocked this can help get you there.

Of course farming more gold is easy once you know how. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3124051695 you can purchase eggs but that might make the game too easy so instead I would try checking out some guides for character builds once you have all upgrades purchased.

With everything maxed and everything turned on you should still be killing enemies very easily , inverted will make things harder so test it without that first , maybe playing with charm + curse and no inverted will feel better.

I HAVE maxed out all the other upgrades. I appreciate the advice though.

I'd prefer to play without using eggs.
