Is there no way to co op via invited?

I'm quite confused about how to co-op in this game, because it says you need another controller, which makes me confused about what I need to do. Usually, if you want to co-op, just invite Steam friends.

There is currently no online multiplayer, only offline. It is telling you to use another controller for "couch co-op".

If whoever you want to play with has a controller, you can invite him via the Steam Remote Play Together function. If you both have keyboard only, I am not sure. Maybe there are ways to bind controller buttons to a keyboard, but you are on your own for that.

You can manage who uses what input device in the options menu. So for example if you use keyboard and your friend controller, by default it will think his controller and your keyboard are for the same player, you need to visit options and change controller to player 2.

As for how to connect online, the host needs to invite for steam remote play together with your other player/s joining.

with Steam remote play together the 2nd-4th players need controllers on their end. Or you give them full Keyboard & Mouse control of your computer. The Good New is they don't have to own the game this way Only the host needs to own the game.
