a lot laggier than it used to be?

i used to have plenty of fun as missingNo with insane buffs, covering the screen in dozens of giant projectiles with barely any cooldown. Runs of like 150+ curse, enemies everywhere.

and I've never had the game lag so hard.

no matter what by the time i hit 15 min i start lagging. and the weapon effects from the foscari dlc drastically increase this lag.

i tried to gold farm on sammi, 1 weapon slot for the upgraded cat he starts with, gold fever arcana asap, and a basic set of damage/cooldown/gold increasing passives. and moving turned the game int ot slideshow, it took like 45 minutes to get to minute 15 and in that time i only just managed to get to the silver and gold rings, and right metaglio.

didn't even take skull for extra curse, i had toronto box though.

what happened that made the lag so bad when there's barely more than like a hundred sprites on screen? (including projectiles, pickups, and enemies).

unless i intentionally nerf my build, or my curse, or both, it is legitimately a struggle to reach 30 min as the last 5 minutes tends to take a third of my entire run time by itself.

Basically the same sort of issues here. Frame rate is tanking barely into a run at endgame level (over 140hrs in) and is basically killing my enjoyment of the game pretty rapidly. New engine beta is awful too. Bit uncertain of the future of this game to be honest.

Same, I really hope they iron out the bugs in that new engine... I really want to keep playing this game but it's nigh unplayable these days...

the public beta mode helped some, but i still had to disable my curse and charm powerups. and even then, torronto box, ring, and metaglio curse would still end up a little shaky by minute 25 with a full item build.

Depends on your PC I'd say. I run without the damage numbers and flashy fx turned on and with the new-engine and I barely lag at all. If I'm going to the point of an 1hr+ run and the screen is literally all bouncing particles then sure it'll lag a bit but otherwise it runs smoothly.

All I can say really is to check you don't have a bunch of stuff running in the background, your PC is aging a bit, or you're one of the small % that the game just doesn't like.

With Sammy, with eggs and everything turned off, by the 10min mark I am over level 1000 and I cant even get to 30min before my seconds start to turn into minutes.

Hi. Where's this GPU Lag Fix? And how do you guys have access to the new engine? I have an RTX 3090 and my game lags a lot towards the endgame. Regards.

The GPU lag fix option is presented when you launch the game from within Steam so it pops up the 3 launch choices. I wouldn't bother with the new engine just yet, it's super buggy - tons of weapons just... don't work at all? Anyway you can input the 'newneginepls' password into Steam to unlock it. Yeah I have a 2080 super and the game is like 5 FPS max by minute 28.

Thanks a lot. Whish something could be done about the frame rate. God forbid I pick the card that increases area effect every level, because at level 200 the games becomes a slideshow.
