- I know that I didn't start off with game killer. I don't see why you'd do this if you're not also getting silent old sanctuary, since there's no benefit in limiting your weapons like that. If you want the gem explosions you can always get game killer from a later chest, and save up regular chests until then.
- Game killer as a starting arcana is especially terrible for peppino, since he starts with an area penalty that goes away with level ups. Peppino's starting weapon is also soul eater, which is terrible at carrying you in the late game. You want to pick something else.
- If you don't start off with game killer, you can get a few early level ups by moving away from the two approaching bosses. You can get wings and something to push the bosses away with this.
- Shadow pinion helps a lot with keeping enemies away. The bosses that follow you will get caught in your trail of pinions. This is also how you can kill atlanteans for golden eggs as peppino.
- The boss rash arena is small, you don't need all the item pickups and having the atlanteans around is a bother. I'd swap mad groove for something that helps you more directly.
- I know that my late game strategy relied on using gatti amari with gemini, but I forgot my other picks.
--Awake arcana to start, because need res
--You'll want to power level a magic wand. The focus fire and knockback is needed early on
--Mad Groove for second arcana
--The strategy is to have enough res and damage to pop the Metaglio items and kill off both guards. You have short moments of invulnerability with laurel.
And that is it. If you manage to pick up both Metaglio items you should be good to upgrade laurel. After that, it doesn't matter what you do. You can't die.
Tirasigu is helpful for the extra res. Victory sword is nice because it auto-targets similar to magic wand. La Borra (santa water upgrade) is always useful in any run, plus you'll want the attractorb anyway. But really you win or lose with the laurel upgrade.
It took me 4 tries or so, but it worked like a charm! ^^
