Hints for the Secrets
Hi, I am a good portion thru the game and am starting to go through the secrets. I have completed a few of them that were obvious, but most of them are rather vague and ambiguous when it comes to telling you what you need to do.

On one hand, I want to feel as if I actually discovered the secrets for myself without just looking them up and going from point A to point B. But I also don't want to spend hours and hours of my time going back and forth between random spots on the map in the hopes of finding something.

So, are there any guides out there that would give hints to finding the secrets rather than just telling about them, or anyone who could drop some hints? I have looked on the steam guides and most of them just go straight to spoiling the solution.

No spoilers please!!!!! But knowing steam, saying that is just going to draw them to me like flies so I guess we'll see how this goes :)

any particular secret that you're going for? that would make it easier to give you a vague hint about it (aside from the secrets screen, which also gives you very vague hints.)

The reason I didn't specify was because I still have yet to find most of them, it would honestly be easier to state which ones I have completed: Fought Leda at the bottom of Gallo, typed in the weird spell that gives Exdash, and looked under previously owned coffins.

As for the ones I failed to complete, I've tried to escape moongolow with all 16 passive items several times now, and not found any edge or way to escape the map.

Searched the Dairy Plant for somewhere where cheese is made, but no luck and there is a lot of map to cover.

Taken all the curse items and then started running, but never found an edge in Green Acres.

Tried just standing still and not killing a single plant, but it apparently takes more to be a good boy in Il Molise.

Sometimes I just need to ask for help? Literally no idea what this could be, so I'm asking for help here lol.

There's only one way to escape Moongolow and you may have used it before, it can be done on any map not just Moongolow.

As soon as you start the level open the map and look for something new that wasn't there before and doesn't belong.

Which of the playable characters would you call a good boy?

The other one I can't help you with, not without just telling you what to do.

i'm gonna be honest, a few of them you absolutely will -not- figure out without looking up something online, and one was so frustrating that i put in the code for it... so mabye i'm not exactly the right person to answer this question. that aside...

of note: before you unlock all the 'secrets', you'll want to gather all the unlocks, mabye even 'finish' the main story of the game if you havent.

the first secret is exactly what it says on the tin for the hint: collect pummarola and the skull, i suggest pummarola THEN skull, as the path to the secret will be closer nearby. (you literally cant miss it.) also, though the game never specifically states this, you will have to have collected the yellow sign (an unlock, but you'll find it looking for secrets on the stages) and at least 100 floor chickens (across all runs)

for the theft of cheese, i recommend having arcana's unlocked and using mad groove (you'll have to unlock arcana's step by step as well! they're easier than secrets.)

pure heart and two good friends refers to a very specific character and a very specific synergy... the balcony is to the north, and any more than that would be spoiling it.

to further elaborate on what doom dragon said: when you 'run away' from a map, it isn't done by movement, and all 16 accessories need to be maxed out. (again, i recommend mad groove)

adverse fate also needs yellow sign (if you don't know what this is... you'll find it eventually collecting everything, look for unlocks and stage secrets rather than the secrets list) and you'll have to activate stage modifiers, then move to a very specific spot in the stage... without spoiling anything, south west.

flowers in the bone zone you absolutely wont find without looking it up... but if you want to try, its to the north, but not straight north.

boss rash with one weapon is easy if you've got a specific arcana unlocked.

kill the reaper. either you'll need a lot of luck or you can do it with a very specific combination of items that you may not have yet... once you have them, you'll know.

after the 'spell' to unlock ex-death, you have to use ex-death to 'uppercut' a non-red reaper, this means any reaper that isn't the one that appears at 30 minutes in... probably the easiest place to find one is in the bone zone, but that stage can be difficult on its own anyway, there's other places to find them if you know where to look.

the ask for help secret is the one you absolutely will not figure out without looking it up online... that's kinda the point, but if you don't want to spoil others you can just leave it to last.

previously owned coffins is literally that, go to any spot where there was an unlock for a character, and there will be something else.

sorry if any of this is 'too much' information. you'll get there, i believe in you!

Thanks! Managed to escape moongolow (didn't realize it was that simple), I found the mystery cheese (Why is there a chicken there?) and was a good boy in Il Molise. Not sure exactly how because all I did was run around for a couple minutes, but was a good boy nonetheless.

Onto the others!
