Controller no longer working
It forces player 1 on mouse keyboard, and my controller to player 2.
I have checked the options for controller to player one, hasn't helped.
Tried disabling steam input- nothing
Running as admin- nothing

Sorry for taking so long on this, the PC environment is wild for controllers; we're working on a better UI for more customization, but planning to release a hotfix in the meantime.

same problem, tried emailing the dev, super disappointing and frustrating

good news, i fixed it by forcing the game back to the old engine. On another thread the dev provided code "PhaserVersion2023". Go to the game properties on Steam and enter that into the beta password box. nUntil they fix the new engine, that's how to keep playing with a controller!

Same issue here. Unfortunate because I only went to play it today. Hopefully a fix releases soon.

This does work, but then you cant play Co-op as it reverts to the old engine. Will have to wait for a hot fix I guess.

Controller no longer works
No idea why, but even back in the beta I tried coop with 4 players hosting over Steam Remote Play and I was able to use a controller while somebody connected used keyboard input to control player one.

My controller used to work for this game as player one, but not anymore. No matter what steam input settings I use, it no longer works. I am NOT switching back to the previous engine to fix this.

Controller not working after update
Used my controller plenty before but all the sudden it won't work after the update. Weirdly enough I can get past the warning page by hitting a button on my controller but after that nothing works. Is a Xbox Elite 2 connected via bluetooth to my pc

The photosensitivity warning and the title screen I can press A to proceed to the next screen but once it gets to the first selection screen my controller no longer works.

same issue as well. Though I can use my controller to get past the photosensitivity warning and title screen. Then it doens't work from there on.
