"Play with GPU Lag Fix"

Is this still a relevant starting option?
Does it do what it says on the tin?

Used it yesterday and a game that is supposed to be 30 minutes was closer to a slideshow (pretty extreme and almost maxed out with Sigma, I give you that).

Since I never experienced that much lag and slideshowishness (this is a word, for sure! it needs to be! ;-) ) before, but I did not play since Sigma was originally added,... I don't know how this stacks up.

Has the game become this bad in the past months, or is the lag fix actually a lag generator? Should I use it or just run standard launch parameter?

did you have lag before? no? then why are you using a fix for lag you do not have?

Because a fix is usually not something you just opt out of. There is usually a reason it exists.
Also: How does that answer my question?

Quite a few people have asked this question and they all get some semi toxic "answers" that are not helpful at all. What is up with this setting that talking about it seems to be like a fight club thing?

I've had a similar experience with the lag fix launch option. It was helpful before, but it doesn't seem to make a difference anymore.
