Having said that I still go for other strong weapons like four seasons, the falling water bottles and axe (axe is mostly because I already have the evo item)
god tree
I mean...Garlic is terrible for damage. Santa Water is horrible to aim, as are the birds. Lots of weapons have downsides but get any TWO of them and you're fine. Get 4 AOE things and you're practically untouchable. Get Laurel and Lancet and things can barely touch you BEFORE you include weapons.
The game isn't hard once you have options, and if you've got Victory Sword unlocked then you've got options.
yeah but their evolved versions just do the game's damage, it really worths it.
i know this because i've tested them countless times.
thank you for your opinions guys but i was actually looking for something more objective such as an end-game damage tier list having all weps unlocked already...
If you want the best weapons, lets see here... Lighting ring, Runetracer, Santa Water, and Fire Wand are the big common ones. Lighting Ring and Santa Water with the Tragic Princess arcana pretty much auto win. Really any weapon that hits large amounts of the screen with aoes does obscene damage. Evolved guns are also in this category, but harder to make happen. La Robba from the shop is by far the best of the extra rare weapons, but the bone is also solid. Adding in DLC, Summon Night and Four Seasons are pretty amazing. And of course there's the Victory Sword, which when evolved makes you invincible and everything else dead. For other weapons to fill in when you cant be bothered to play Queen Sigma and get everything for free, Axes are good, Evolved crosses scale well with area, and Silver Wind is just kinda the new books. I suppose Song of Mana is nice if it shows up. Oh yeah, and Clock Lancet is almost mandatory for doing cursed inverse runs, freezing enemies is important.
TL;DR: Less is often more. Oh and don't forget the card that gives you 8% weapon cd & 20% might per unused weapon slot. It helps a TON.
If you have the DLC, the sword summon thing is completely broken and is by far the best weapon in the game. It regularly outperforms even Victory sword, and doesn't have the downsides that vic sword has. Upgraded enough it affects the entire screen and hits things like 50 times each. It basically becomes a screen-wide killzone, and FAR earlier than other weapons do. (like it's totally possible to do on a 0 egg character via limitbreaks.)
Vic sword has probably the best early game outside of some of the ridiculously OP "joke"/"special" weapons, but it's late-game honestly just becomes really annoying and an active detriment.
Night Sword/Muramasa or Summon Night/Echo Night ?
I actually tested all of them and i think the best DLC wep in terms of DPS is Godai Shuffle (evolved Four Seasons).
Edit: not think, the latter gave me most dps compared with the other DLC weps.
i was talking about the DLCs in that specific answer. but yes.
i will try this later.
So Gain Boros.
