How to Secret: 2) Uppercut a non-red reaper.

I completed "1)" but never see toastie appear (i read its on screen for only half a second) and also didn't unlock it by just spamming arrow down + enter(return) when fighting non-red reapers (in boss rash).

Also tried the suggestion to just go right on Inlaid Library REVERSED. Allegedly toastie just randomly appears there but I went for over 10 minutes almost uninterrupted straight to the right with red death and didnt see toastie.

Just enter the spells for them

Toastie appears when you kill the non-red reapers and that's when you have to press Down-Arrow + Enter.
The green reaper appears in the Dairy Plant, with a certain chance to appear at specific times. Or you also have Capella Magna that spawns the blue one at 5 minutes, that you can kill with one of the Rosaries present in the stage.

everyone here forgot a little but crucial detail... before unlocking toastie (the red ghost) you must have unlocked exdash (the blue ghost) which is obtainable via secret code or collecting a VERY lucky clover (1/65550 possibilities if i'm not mistaken). Without exdash you can't unlock him/her (unless you'll use another secret code for that purpose)

Yes I'm aware its on kill (and I guess only once per round).
Capella Magna blue doesn't spawn anymore after you unlocked Inverse or smth.
Bone Zone also spawns Green and Blue.

But my issue is that I never saw Toastie (maybe too much clutter going on + short duration) and even though I spammed the key combo starting shortly after they appeared until they were all dead (in Boss Rash) it didn't unlock.
So is it just a chance for Toastie to appear? Does it not work on Boss Rash? Are there other lesser known requirements that I couldn't find in the most obvious sources?

I did mention that. I was even told you HAVE TO unlock it by code, but neither by spell nor by clover.

Bone Zone 10:00 build:

Garlic Grandpa with weapon limit of 2 and Arcanas (probably also Hyper and Limit Break):
Weapons: Garlic(Starter) Pentagram(avoid getting it early).
Passives: Clover Orb Crown Spinnach Tiramisu Duplicator (Tiramisu+Duplicator to reduce xp needed to max out everything. No Pummarola, so only Pentagram can evolve).
Arcana: XXI Blood Astronomia.

I don't know how Treasure Chests actually work but I didn't take any until i was maxed on everything to increase the chance for Pentagram evolution; so just move 1-2 screens whenever you killed an elite to not destroy it.
Don't waste levels on Skip and Banish. Prioritize maxing Garlic, Luck and Orb but also take at least 1 of the other passives to reduce the RNG pool ... but don't Reroll for the 3 prios and rather take more of another passive. Ideally you have everything else maxed before you take the first Pentagram.

And of course start spamming the key combo at 9:59 to not miss it.
