Report a translation problem
The only thing that seems kind of consistent is leaving the level doesn't save bestiary data. Sometimes anyway.
that it then goes down is still weird...
alas, i guess i'll grind them out the normal way ^^'
you can go down where the gold ring is, there they spawn on mass near the water ^^
I believe you need to go west first and take the path to the north once you find a path on the westside of the map.
I did use one of the new characters which has a special trick up on it's sleeve (Megalo Menya Moonspell), so I didn't really have to watch out for anything and would have been able to AFK for the whole run. But I'm sure it should be possible to get 6000 kappa's with any character on that lake.
There's actually an even better spot at the top of the Northwest mountain, here you'll find some kind of frozen lake where a lot more Kappa spawn than near the river at the South.
