Strongest character beside Queen Sigma?

Pugnala with uncapped 1% might gain, Avatar Infernas with 0.5% uncapped might gain and other bonuses seems the two most obvious choices as they scale endlessly and have a good attack/other bonuses.

I used to like Red Death the most. Its sure fast with a good starting weapon, but seems to fall behind in long games due to lack of scaling.

Zi'Assunta seems good with similar scaling to Avatar, but the starting weapon is horrible.

Before the golden eggs, before arcana, before all the borken ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game has, Skelebro was THE strongest character because of his +3 projectiles.
That's basically doulbe damage for most weapons.

Eh. Mortaccio's +3 amount pales beside uncapped bonuses like Pugnala's +1% might per level. By the time you're level 100 you've doubled your damage, and it's easy to hit 200+ with her, without eggs.

Pugnala, Poppea, Concetta (Despite her crap weapon) and so on were pretty hard to beat.

Trouser's +greed and +growth per level is also pretty impressive, when combined with Limit Break it's hard to top.

But ultimately, yeah, Smith takes the cake with uncapped bonuses to recovery, might, area, speed, duration, cooldown, AND luck. He's just objectively strongest, even with his low health.

Not entirely correct there. Trouser have +greed, Gains have +growth.

Regardless, I'd say Smith is the strongest character shy of Sigma.

I'd venture Missingno, albeit only occasionally. Consider that a particularly good roll gives you nil cooldown and high damage, it becomes very difficult to lose. On the other hand, you'll end up with no move speed and infinity cooldown most of the time. Subjectively speaking of course.

Really, the gap between Sigma and any other character is so huge that outside of particular niche builds no one else comes close. There's a reason she doesn't keep gold eggs, she doesn't need them.

It is impossible to lose as missingnO if you roll negative health as this make him invincible.

Yatta cavallo is the same but his starting weapon is also explosive, making early game easier than when plyaing as mortaccio.
