Questions about controls...

Hello, I just bought the game and started playing. I'm trying to play on mouse and keyboard.

So the only controls I have are the wasd for movement, it seems all my weapons or abilities are just autofiring at fixed intervals. The mouse does nothing outside of clicking on items I pick up and the right click stops my character from moving. left click does nothing.

Do I need to play this game on controller?

Controller won't make much difference, since it's the same just with using the stick to move. (It is slightly easier since you have a little more control.)

The game is working as intended as all of that is supposed to happen.

Nope. You're not doing anything wrong. You only control movement in VS. You can drive menus using your mouse of course.

Some weapons can be kinda "aimed" as they fire in the direction you are moving, but other than that you have no control over your weapons. Just think of it as the game spamming the attack button for you.
