Pavone + Divine Bloodline = basically unkillable
Pavone's whole schtick is that it has very low HP but gains absurd regen as it levels up. Divine Bloodline deals damage to enemies that damage you, giving you +0.5 HP for each kill you make this way. I'm sure you see where this is going.

Pavone may have low starting HP, but it has more than enough to tank a few hits from the first few waves of enemies. (I'm also assuming you've purchased the armor powerup, which helps a lot here.) After a very short time, about 30 second or so, you should have enough HP that you don't need to worry about accidentally killing yourself running into enemies, and as you gain levels your regen will rapidly increase to the point that you're regaining HP faster than these early enemies can take it away. After a certain point, your regen will be so high that regular enemies can no longer kill you, though bosses may be able to damage you faster than you regen.

Getting 100 HP is trivial, putting you on an even level with most other characters. Gaining several hundred HP is pretty easy. Gaining 1000+ HP isn't too hard, though it does require careful selection of weapons at level ups. Certain weapons, like Garlic, may kill enemies before you can run into them, preventing you from killing them via retribution damage, and thus denying you that HP increase. Stack on the Hollow Heart and Left Metaglio, and it's possible to hit 2000 or even 3000 HP. Keep in mind that at that point you're probably regenning 100+ HP a second as well.

I tried this in the Bone Zone, endless, and also picked up Sarabande of Healing and Disco of Gold, and when a gold fever would start then just the healing I was getting from picking up all the gold seemed to be sufficient to kill any enemies close to me. I eventually quit the level after an hour, but I probably could have gone indefinitely, or until my PC crashed.

It kind of feels like cheating. This is ridiculously easy to pull off. Then again, you can just evolve the Laurel and it has pretty much the same effect.
