Need help with Arcana
Hi everyone,
can someone explain a bit how to work with Arcana?
Somehow I don't know really how it works. It's sometimes there (I can choose cards) but sometimes it isn't there. Also, which cards should I use?
Just general help I guess. :)

Thanks!

Default is one on start, one from 11 min. chest, and one from 21 min. chest.

Arcanas can be turned off as an option, so if you don't have it checked that may be why they weren't available.

Certain maps/scenarios automatically turn off certain options which may also be a reason why they didn't appear.

There are several good cards. It depends upon which direction you want to go. Some of my favorites:

  • Awake. A bit boring, but deceptively strong. If you combine the armor from Awake deaths, armor passive, and armor power up, you can get 14+ armor. On a character like Divano, that is 19 armor. Most regular enemies only do up to 20 damage, which means you can just walk through non-boss enemies without care.

  • Divine Bloodline. Adds a ton of flat damage based upon your armor. The caveat is it only works on listed weapons without evolution. However, skills like song of mana and garlic don't really need evolution, so this raises their damage significantly.

  • Wicked Season. End game card to break the game. It constantly adds more curse, gold, xp, and luck as you level. Combine it with a character which also scales per level, like Pugnalla or queen Sigma, and you get thousands of % to most stats and thousands of levels.

  • Disco of Gold. Also a bit boring, but breaks the game in terms of gold. Combine with Wicked Season and endless map option to get as much gold as you want.

thanks so much. I didn't know there was an option to turn it off. (Why would someone do that?)
Will try to get the hang of it. Thanks for you help!

Some people like to make games more difficult so they turn them off to avoid making the game too easy. Some combinations of Arcana when used together with certain characters are game-breaking.

There is also the one niche case where you have 3 or less Arcana unlocked and one of them happens to be "Game Killer". Meaning you'd be forced to take "Game Killer" at some point during your runs until you unlock more cards. If you wanted to avoid having to work around Game Killer for a while you'd just turn off Arcanas until you have more cards.

makes sense! Thanks again to both of you!
