How do you buy Golden Eggs?

I have unlocked golden eggs. I've unlocked endless mode. I'm nearly fully completed with the game, I just spent two hours farming gold and want to dump all of it into golden eggs. Why does the merchant no longer sell them??? I've tried multiple maps with multiple different stage modifiers yet for some reason Candy Box has replaced golden eggs and I don't know why.

Sounds like you are trying to buy them with Queen Sigma. In exchange for being so naturally broken, she cannot gain eggs in any way, so the purchase option is replaced with the candy box. You will have to egg up another character, from what I know Trouser is the usual one to heavily invest in, so he can make even more money to buy more eggs.
