They are normal unlockables. The secret menu is there for people who want to unlock any of them instantly and abnormally, like me.
Yeah, that's cool. It's the vagueness of how to unlock them normally that bugs me.

if you want to play the game your way then play it your way. go look up how to unlock everything, download a 100% save, modify the game in unintended ways. but deriding the mechanic that keeps the game interesting past its gameplay for some people (I would hazard many people) is pretty silly.
